Facility reservations must be submitted at least one month is advance, and confirmation of the availability for the requested dates/times will be made directly to the person listed on the application form before payment is accepted and the space may be reserved. (Events serving alcohol will also require a one-day banquet license from the Virginia ABC.) The security deposit should be made as a check (made out to the Treasurer of King George County), and it will be shredded following the event, provided there is no damage to the facility or excessive cleaning required. The security deposit is due along with the payment for the reservation in order to reserve the facility.

During inclement weather, the Citizens Center follows the closing of the County Government. On Saturdays and Sundays when government closings are not typically announced, Parks and Recreation staff will notify the applicant. The Citizens Center serves as one of the County's Emergency Shelters; therefore, if an emergency arises on a day when the Center is booked, the use of the Center for said emergency shall take precedence over the scheduled event.
