This plan provides a framework for identifying
current and planned water conservation and demand management activities for achieving water use reduction goals by improving water system operations and maintenance, reducing system demands, encouraging more efficient water use, reducing water loss and waste, and increasing customer awareness regarding responsibilities for water conservation.
The water resources of King George County are critical to our quality of life and are essential to public health, safety and welfare. During times of drought, the county has the authority to restrict the nonessential use of water.
The KGCSA Sewer Standards and Regulations were amended and approved by the KGCSA Board of Directors by resolution at the October 01, 2024, KGCSA BOD Regular Meeting.
This plan was submitted to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality in order to comply with §9VAC 25-780-140. Subsequent to the submittal of the Water Supply Plan, DEQ notified King George County that the Plan complied with the Regulation.
