Make time to PLAY! Enjoy FREE recreational programs, activities, and events for all ages with Play All Day VA! Join us on Friday, June 20th, from sunrise to sunset, at King George County Parks.
The Play All Day VA initiative of the Virginia Recreation & Parks Society strives to highlight local parks and recreation departments on the “longest” day of the year. King George Parks & Recreation and over 50 of our sister agencies are showcasing the benefits of parks and recreation to the community.
Join us for any or all of these FREE events on June 20th.
7:00 a.m. - Adult Sunrise Yoga at Wayside Park
7:30 a.m. – Run for Fun at the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail (Bloomsbury trailhead). Join KGPR, KGHS, and Friends of the DRHT for an “at your own pace” run/walk and learn about the DRHT.
8:15 a.m. - Children's Yoga at Wayside Park
9:30 a.m. – Pickleball 101 and open play. Want to learn more about pickleball? Here is your chance. KGPR will put on a 30-minute Pickleball 101 class for all new players, and the courts at the King George Tennis Center will also be available for free open play.
10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Tot Time at the Citizens Center
1:00 p.m. - Disc Golf 101 and Open Play at Barnesfield Park
4:00 p.m. – Dahlgren Wayside Park Reopening Ceremony with frozen treats from Sunset Slush of King George!
6:30 – 7:30 p.m. – FREE Summer Drop-in Soccer at Sealston Sports Complex for 6- to 13-year-olds.
7:30 – 9:30 p.m. – FREE Summer Drop-in Soccer at Sealston Sports Complex for ages 14 and up.
