KING GEORGE COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION
2022-23 Youth Indoor Soccer
Registration Deadline: Monday, November 14, 2022.
The KGPR indoor soccer program is intended to give young, recreational players the opportunity to play soccer over the winter in a safe, encouraging environment. Players will practice twice a week before games begin, once on a weekday Monday-Thursday (the specific day will vary from team to team) and once on Saturday (either morning of afternoon depending on team). Once games begin, teams will only practice during their weekday practice time slot, and games (played on either Friday evening or Saturday morning/afternoon) will replace the Saturday practice. All practices and games will be held at the King George Elementary School Gymnasium, and, since we are playing on a smooth gym floor, the focus of the indoor program will be on possession, control, and ball skills. This is a coed program broken into three divisions: 6-8 years old, 9-11 years old, and 12-14 years old. Registration starts October 3rd, and the registration deadline is November 14th.
Age Divisions:
- Coed: 6-8 (birth years 2016, 2015, 2014)
- Coed: 9-11 (Birth year 2013, 2012, 2011)
- Coed: 12-14 (birth years 2010, 2009, 2008)
Registration Dates and Cost (includes uniform):
- Early Registration (save $15): October 3rd - October 28th: $105
- General Registration: October 29th - November 14th: $120
Locations for Practices and Games:
- King George Elementary School Gymnasium (10381 Ridge Rd, King George, VA 22485)
PRACTICE TIMES:
- Weekday Evenings, Monday-Thursday (6:30pm or 7:30pm with the 6:30pm time slots prioritized for the 6-8 age division) and Saturday morning/afternoon (9:00am-3:00pm with the younger players playing earlier) (time ranges are approximate and your child's specific practice days/times will vary by team)
GAME TIMES:
- Friday evenings (6:30pm or 7:30pm) or Saturday morning/afternoon (9:00am-3:00pm)
Important Dates:
- Practices Begin: December 10, 2022
- Games Begin: January 13-14, 2023
- Games End: February 24-25, 2023 (with March 3-4, 2023 as snow makeup dates, if necessary)
