Early this morning, Thursday, Dec. 11, a fire was reported at the King George County Landfill. The fire was quickly contained by staff onsite with the fire and rescue department responding to assist if needed. The solid waste and recycling department will continue to monitor the working area of the landfill to ensure the fire remains suppressed. The Sealston Convenience Center remains open to the public.
