[ARCHIVED] Debris Fire w/ Extension to a Structure & Two Vehicle - Parson's LN

On March 22, 2020 @ 12:11 Hrs, Units were dispatched for a vehicle fire that possibly extended to the residence on Parson’s LN.  Units arrived on-scene to find a 2-story residential structure on fire at the A / D corner along with one passenger vehicle on fire.  It was confirmed that all occupants and pets were out of the structure and accounted for.  Several citizens were attempting to extinguish the fire with a garden hose and various fire extinguishers.   Cmd was established and Tanker 1 arrived on-scene and began fire attack.  The fire was quickly extinguished and there was no spread into the interior of the structure.  The homeowner advised that he used his smoker cooker in front of the garage area the day before and then placed the coal pellets in the large plastic trash can once he believed they were cooled off.  It was reported that the family of 4 was inside the house at the time and an electrical worker across the street ran over to alarm them of the fire.  No smoke detector activation took place.  Fire crews ventilated the structure and inspection was completed to determine that the structure was safe for occupancy.  All units cleared without incident and Cmd terminated at 13:45 Hrs..
